Tal Shalson
Research Officer
Tal Shalson joined Mokoro as in January 2021. Tal has an academic background in international development, with a focus on humanitarian interventions and complex emergencies. He provides research support on various evaluations and reviews related to education, food and nutrition security, humanitarian response, and gender and inclusion. Tal’s recent assignments have included providing research support to the UNICEF Malawi Assessment of the Functionality of the Education Services Joint Fund (2022); the UNHCR & WFP Internal Cluster Review, which seeks to distil lessons on how to ensure these lead agencies can adequately support the cluster system in an evolving humanitarian context (2022); the Annual Outcome Monitoring of Outcome 2 of WFP Kenya’s Country Strategic Plan (Sustainable Food Systems Programme) (2022); the evaluation of Danida’s Multi-Bilateral Interventions, with research responsibilities for case studies in Bangladesh, Kenya, and Somalia (2021/22); and the WFP Thematic Evaluation of Supply Chain Outcomes in the Food Systems in Eastern Africa (2021/22).
