Moldova Medium-Term Expenditure Framework phase II

| The goal of the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) Phase II assistance in Moldova was to improve the effectiveness of public spending in realising priorities stated in Moldova’s Economic Growth and Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (EGPRSP).
This was to be achieved through the establishment of the MTEF as the primary decision-making tool for linking government policy objectives with public resource allocations within a sustainable macro-fiscal framework. Mokoro provided a team of international consultants to undertake this assistance to the Phase II implementation. Work involved; developing Information, Education and Communication processes; establishing links between the MTEF and the EGPRSP integration and institutionalisation of the MTEF within the Budget Process; establishing end-of-project sustainability and; facilitating improvement of capacities for medium term planning within local government. |
