Advisory support to DFID’s Education Programme in the DRC

DFID DRC supports education activity to improve equitable access to education and learning outcomes for children in the DRC.

Principal Consultant, Catherine Dom, provided advisory inputs into DFID’s education programme in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The project involved including; setting up the World Bank’s Multi-Donor Trust Fund for Education; finalising the set-up for financing operational costs for administrative offices in the education sector and of primary school children insurance fees; and finalising negotiations and agreement with Coopération Technique Belge (CTB) and the Government of DRC for the Teachers’ Census and School Mapping Exercise. The consultancy also involved following up results of the Qualitative Survey for the Education Sector.
