Women’s land rights in Southern and Eastern Africa

On Saturday 15th June 2013 a select group gathered at Mokoro’s office in Oxford to remember and celebrate the work of activist and women’s land rights campaigner, Kaori Izumi. The speakers celebrated the 10th anniversary of the famous Pretoria workshop which Kaori and Robin Palmer organised on women’s land rights in Southern and Eastern Africa; and reflected on progress made on women’s land rights in Southern and Eastern Africa over the past 10 years.
