Women’s Economic Empowerment: approaches, strategies and alliances for success?

Friday 19 September 2014

This seminar brought together academics as well as practitioners working on the theme of Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE), to share experiences and insights from this rapidly evolving and sometimes contested field. Speakers presented evidence on different strategies used by both development actors and the private sector to promote women’s economic empowerment, and reflect on how the engagement of these different actors is shaping discourse around WEE.
