The Government of Kyrgyz Republic (GoK) is the beneficiary of a four year Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) to support the country’s strengthening of Public Financial Management (PFM).

Mokoro consultant, Mauro Napodano, was appointed as the advisor working explicitly on the budget management process. The objective of the advisory work was to support the Ministry of Finance in improving the credibility, transparency, and overall efficiency of the budget process. Mauro was required to assist the Ministry of Finance to better link the medium term expenditure framework to the annual budget, and develop and introduce a coherent budget preparation process and to strengthen the process of budget execution monitoring. He provided strategic planning inputs, budget preparation process support, and support in updating the budget code.
