Increasing financial management capacity in the Georgian Ministry of Agriculture

| Mokoro Principal Consultant, Ray Purcell, provided technical assistance over a 15-month period to the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) in Georgia. He provided support in setting up a policy formulation unit in the MoA and with the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) over a number of inputs.
The consultancy also included supporting priority setting and programme formulation at various levels; MoA strategy, state target programmes and within state target programmes. Together with the resident Team Leader, he was responsible for achieving programme results, and for co-ordinating the activities of the non-key experts, both local and international. In addition, he contributed to the setting-up of training programmes in Cost Benefit Analysis. |
