Rwanda is making good progress towards achieving the health related Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). DFID are an important development partner for Rwanda, providing resources to the health sector of up to £7 million by 2009 for Health Sector Budget Support (HSBS).

Mokoro consultant, Ann Bartholomew, undertook an annual review of DFID Rwanda’s support to the Joint HSBS, including a narrative summary of progress to date to be used for briefing purposes. This was the second annual review of the HSBS.

The evaluation had two main objectives; to review the achievements and highlight outstanding challenges in achieving the purpose and outputs as set out in the overall project logframe and to provide recommendations for addressing any identified challenges.
