Assistance to the Government of Uganda’s National Development Plan

2009
DFID, Uganda

The five-year National Development Plan (NDP) replaced the Poverty Eradication Action Plan (PEAP) in 2009/10 as Uganda’s principle planning framework and public investment vehicle.

Mokoro provided a two-person team to support the Government of Uganda produce the NDP. The assignment included assisting the government through engaging with the NDP Core Technical Committee to develop drafts of the development plan and to provide technical inputs and guidance.

The consultants provided policy advice on prioritisation and sequencing of NDP strategies, financial advice on strategies linking NDP and budget processes, facilitated dialogue with stakeholders and assisted with write-ups of the report as well as draft costings and an M&E matrix.
