Report on a conference held in the Philippines in December 2000.
Papers and presentations on agrarian reform were given from many parts of the world, including South Africa and Zimbabwe. There was strong rejection of market-based land reform, and recognition of the crucial importance of the role of the state and the significance the Cold War had played in the past.
