Focuses on innovations in recognition, mapping and documentation of legitimate tenure rights by LEGEND and other pilot projects to address problems that resulted from weak due diligence in the planning of large-scale agricultural investments. Illustrates that legitimate tenure rights in and around investment sites need to be recognised, documented, and as far as possible made secure at the start of a land-based investment project.
