Mokoro was commissioned by the International Development Research Centre to conduct an evaluation of their Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (KIX). KIX was developed jointly with the Global Partnership for Education to connect expertise, innovation and knowledge to help countries build stronger education systems. Mokoro evaluated the applied research component of KIX, a mechanism that is implemented through 40 projects to generate evidence in support of scaling the impact of innovations in education. The evaluation assessed the implementation and results of the KIX applied research portfolio and documented lessons and produce actionable insights to inform the support provided by IDRC to research projects.
