Sarah Unsworth is Business Development and Operations Manager at Mokoro. She leads business development and organisational effectiveness across Mokoro’s consultancy portfolio, including identifying opportunities, coordinating proposal development, nurturing relationships with clients, consultants and partners, and driving improvements to systems, processes and ways of working.

Sarah has seven years’ experience managing complex projects, consultancies and grant-funded programmes in the humanitarian and research sectors. Before joining Mokoro she worked with organisations including the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, the Active Learning Network for Accountability and Performance, Development Initiatives and the University of the West of England, Bristol. Her experience includes supporting the UK Public Health Rapid Support Team, managing the Global Humanitarian Assistance Reports (2023-2026), and overseeing nutrition transparency initiatives for the Global Nutrition Report. Earlier in her career, she managed Gates Foundation-funded research, coordinated educational development projects in South Africa, administered the Erasmus+ student mobility programme, and worked with refugee families in Greece. She is also a qualified TEFL teacher.
