Kristina Lanz

Associate Consultant

Kristina Lanz is a gender and development specialist with over six years of research experience. She is currently undertaking doctoral research looking at a large-scale land acquisition for rice production in Ghana and its effects on local institutional change from a gender perspective. Kristina carried out eight months’ participatory research in the region, using different research methods. She has been employed as a research assistant on gender and development at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies in Berne for four years. In that capacity she has published various policy papers and evaluations and organized events for a range of development agencies, NGOs and UN agencies. As a consultant for Mokoro, Kristina has carried out participatory research on women’s land tenure security in pastoralist communities affected by mining in both Mongolia and Tanzania. Her general areas of expertise are: Gender, Land, Agriculture, HIV/AIDS and Sustainability.
