Anthea Gordon

Principal Consultant

Anthea Gordon is a highly experienced researcher and evaluation specialist with over 12 years’ experience across Africa. Her areas of expertise include project management and evaluation, risk assessment, strategy resource planning and needs assessments, particularly in thematic areas of humanitarian protection, education and aid effectiveness. Anthea has been a core team member on major evaluations, including the evaluation of REACH (Renewed Efforts Against Child Hunger), the Global Evaluation of UNICEF’s upstream work in basic education and gender equality, and the World Bank-funded Mid-Term Evaluation of the Education For All Fast Track Initiative. Anthea has experience in relief work for INGOs, including working over a two year period with Oxfam’s humanitarian team on humanitarian protection; and carrying out and evaluation of an INGO’s three year appeal in Zimbabwe. Anthea has also worked on civil service reform in Ethiopia and Guyana.
